Pssssst! LOOSEY turns ONE tomorrow!

As I round a year on one of my most rewarding writing projects, I reflect on why I started LOOSEY in the first place. Although I enjoy freelancing and still work with other publications, I wanted a home for my weird thoughts and observations that didn’t fit as neatly in the traditional media system. But really, I was just tired of putting ‘link in bio’ in my Instagram stories and figured a newsletter was more turnkey ;)

I originally found the task of publishing a newsletter every other Sunday daunting. I still do. What if I don’t have anything to say? What if I mix up my ‘theirs’ and ‘theres?’ What if it takes over my life?

Luckily, I found living my life was the best way to write. By surrounding myself with people and things I love, I always found myself fascinated enough to commit my thoughts to paper. It usually starts as a message to myself and then it comes out as a letter to you. A loosey.

Thanks for letting me take residency in your inboxes every other Sunday. I know inbox real estate is critical so I can assure you that no email is sent without acknowledging that your attention is a privilege.
