Yes yes yes, we have to understand that people in the entertainment industry are not going to save us! Even if Bad Bunny had Liam in the half time show, ( which I thought that was a little embarrassing someone actually thought those two little boys were the same person) it wouldn’t have done anything to keep other little boys from getting deported. Bad Bunny performing the half time show, while an incredible performance, is not going to change our material conditions. No one’s coming to save us, we have to save ourselves.
If Ryan Murphy made us shoot now, I’d say Carrie Coon but there was something about the way she was deflecting those questions at her deposition that reminded me of Sydney Sweeney up in that GQ chair ignoring the interviewer’s questions too… if we had about ten years, I’d say there’s no one who could rage bait like Sweeney 🫣
This was an incredible read, as always. I had so many friends send me reels on Instagram about the young Benito being Liam Ramos, like it was fact. I even felt bad bursting their bubble, that the child was indeed a paid actor. The heart wants to believe what it wants I suppose.
